Monday, October 17 Bill Daniel presents an evening of lost and found music films: SONIC ORPHANS lost music films 1965-87 doors 8pm, films 9pm;$5 Performance by existers SONIC ORPHANS is a compilation reel of lost and found clips projected on 16mm. They are all rare and strange celluloid gems, including unedited silent footage, many have been seen by almost no one and have never seen the light of youtube. Most of this footage is truly orphaned film--- abandoned, lost, found, and now presented as mystical linear artifacts. SONIC ORPHANS lost and found music films 1965-87 presented live on 16mm by van-based archivist Bill Daniel orphan film clips, séance for lost punks, nothing on youtube, no digital back up, totally raw, 1977 pogo primer, silent Beatles press conference, 1980 lost student film, confiscated Butthole Surfer footage, 1973 stoner abandonment jazz silent w/ live improvised accompaniment by existers, and other oddities.
